Artist inspiration

Our artist is an 18 year old female who we have asked to be a part of our music video and reflect Lorde as an artist and portray the alternative artist that we want to create.
As an individual,  the artist listens to music from multiple genres and has a very versatile style when it comes to her fashion attire. Izzie is great to act as our artist as she will very easily adapt to a role and create a realistic perception of our artist to the target audience.

We have developed our character as the artist and come up with a name and logo of our artist so a franchise could be developed once the Artist released the music; the fans would be able to visualise the artists name and it would be more memorable.

So, we came up with the name 'INC.' for our artist, inspired from her real name which is 'Izzie Nicole Cummins', hence 'INC.'. The reason as to why we have used this is because its a memorable name which people will easily identify and know about. The pronunciation would be like 'ink' and the reason the name 'INC.' is in capital letters followed by a full stop reflects the conventions of a musical genre in the alternative; the name is unique and the fact its spelt differently and is also significant to the artist herself because it is inspired from her own name in real life works really well. The font and style of the name reflects an indie vibe as it is very recognisable and is different to other female artists, for example in the pop genre who's names appear more feminine and colourful. The conservative style font and black and white really mirrors the alternative vibe we are going for. 

Our two main narrative characters will be dressed and styled to reflect the vibe we are aiming for in the music video. Our artist (INC.) will be styled in a stylish but disheveled and rebellious way, with the conventions of a female alternative artist. For example; black eye make up, fishnets, baggy clothing, piercings, ect.. 

Harvey (male character) will be dressed and styled the same, with again the conventions of someone you would recognise to be in the alternative genre. Such as; Messy hair on face, baggy/indie/retro/vintage clothing.
