Focus Group 1: Initial Feedback

We gathered 3 females and 3 males who fit our target audience and asked them a series of relevant questions which would help us discover their views on our initial ideas.

When asked about their opinion on the indie music genre we found that not many people preferred the indie music genre however when we asked them what they'd expect in an indie music video they all suggested conventions which mt group and I had already thought of, which was promising. 

We were surprised that 4 out of 6 said they preferred to watch music videos which were humorous as opposed to serious, which has helped us as we now can think about adding in a subtle bit of humour into our music video. 

Although this focus group was helpful, we cannot generalise their opinions to the entirety of teenagers, so even though we will take their opinions into consideration and adapt our ideas based on what they say.

We are going to plan a second focus group with a larger sample so we get a better idea of their opinions and this time we will show them our chosen song and also location and costume ideas.
